At FairWilde, we are dedicated hobby breeders of Australian Shepherds and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Our dogs are beloved members of our family and are raised in a nurturing home environment. Each puppy is thoughtfully socialized and introduced to the everyday sights, sounds, and experiences of family life, ensuring a well-rounded start.
We are committed to breeding with integrity, prioritizing health, sound temperament, and adherence to breed standards, with the long-term goal of improving and preserving these exceptional breeds.
After relocating from Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, we established our program on a beautiful farm in Asheboro, North Carolina. Here, our dogs enjoy ample room to run, play, and thrive. Conveniently located within driving distance of Raleigh, Charlotte, and Greensboro, we proudly work with families both locally and nationwide, and we are happy to assist with travel arrangements or shipping when needed.

We have been breeding Aussies for over 10 years and show our dogs in conformation in both AKC and ASCA.
We have recently branched out to another breed, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and to say we are in-love is an understatement!
ABOUT ME
My name is Amy Dettore, and I’m blessed to be married to the love of my life, Joe—the best husband and father I could ever ask for. Together, we are raising six amazing children: Joey, Judy, Katie, Alice, Gil, and Benton. Our sweet Alice, who was born in 2007 with a rare chromosomal abnormality and required full care, sadly passed away this past March just before her 18th birthday. Our son Gil also has Down syndrome, and through our journey as parents, Joe and I have learned to embrace life fully and never take a single day for granted. Needless to say, our home is full of love, joy, and plenty of activity!
Before moving to North Carolina, I spent over 25 years working as a successful full-time realtor in Pennsylvania. While I truly enjoyed that career, my lifelong passion has always been dogs. I could happily spend my days talking about them, raising them, and learning everything I can about the breeds I love.
I take great pride in all aspects of breeding and raising dogs—from carefully selecting stud dogs, to whelping and raising litters, to training and showing. Over the years I’ve also dabbled in obedience, rally, and agility, in addition to conformation. Though my current focus is on breeding and showing, I look forward to one day expanding into other events as well.
Both Australian Shepherds and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels hold a special place in my heart. They are intelligent, athletic, and affectionate companions, truly versatile family dogs that excel in so many ways.

MY KENNEL NAME
It took me years to decide on the perfect name for my kennel. I wanted something simple, yet meaningful—something with history and significance behind it. And then one day, it came to me.
My middle name is Fair (Amy Fair Brill is my maiden name), a family name passed down for generations. My great-great-grandfather, Thomas Wilde, married Mary Fair. The Fair family was known for being feisty and fearless—so much so that it was said if you saw the Fair boys walking down the street, you crossed to the other side! That strong-willed spirit reminded me so much of the Australian Shepherd’s bold and determined nature.
The Wilde family, on the other hand, carried themselves with grace and refinement. They were well-groomed, pleasant, and a bit reserved—qualities that mirror the elegance and charm of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
By joining Fair and Wilde, I not only honor both sides of my family, but I also feel the name beautifully represents the breeds I love and raise. It’s a tribute to my roots and to the special dogs that carry this name forward.
